My Male Subordinate Keeps Trying to Overstep

Also known as: My Brooding Male Subordinate Is Always Trying to Get Close to Me

A cool, untouchable businesswoman VS a brooding bodyguard who strikes back

[The wolf I took in dares to dream of becoming mine]

Yao Zheng unexpectedly transmigrates to a small city in Republican-era China, becoming the youngest entrepreneur in town.

At sixteen, she finds a blood-soaked wild wolf on a rainy night and takes him in.

She teaches him to stand tall, to behave with propriety, to read and write, and to be loyal and devoted. But she cannot teach him to hide the man-eating gleam in his eyes.

He bows and bends the knee before her, secretly tracing her name in his palm. His devotion goes too far: he wants nothing more than to overstep his place.

Two years later, war rages across the land.

Black leather shoes tread over the rubble. He returns, having completed his studies abroad.

"Everything you taught me, Miss, I've learned."

"Now it's my turn to graduate."

--

"Miss, what does 'whispering sweet nothings' mean?"

Having only half-learned his lessons, he leans close to her hair, his breath scorching, and asks with an innocence that's both naive and filthy.

The dog she raised has become a wolf. He Zhan can't stay in this house any longer.

P.S. A self-indulgent romance. Set in Republican-era China, but the entire story takes place in a fictional world.

Theme: True love isn't about taming a beast, but nurturing a flower.
