Lin Xu wakes up in an insectoid world as a male insect who has been classified as "Grade C."
He is exiled to a remote convalescent home for injured military females. The Male Insect Protection Association "generously" assigns him injured, retired, and disobedient military females under the pretense of "comforting" them, when in truth it's all about surveillance and humiliation. Lin Xu calmly accepts it all.
Like a plant growing toward the light, he lies low in the shadows, warmly welcoming every female insect sent to him. Among them is the one with the most severe injuries, silent as a block of ice: Rex.
When Rex arrives, his mental sea is shattered, both legs are crippled, and his silver-gray eyes hold nothing but a dead wasteland.
Every insect declares that the "Blade of Blood," once renowned across the stars, is utterly finished.
Only Lin Xu uses his seemingly weak Grade C mental power to carefully tend to him day after day. When Rex is overwhelmed by mental anguish, Lin Xu steadies his trembling shoulders with his well-defined fingers and says in a calm voice, "Rex, look at me. Stay alive."
In this forgotten corner, they depend on each other and build a small, stable world that no outsider can see into.
Until the Imperial Marshal arrives in person, fixes a cold gaze on Rex, and orders him taken away and executed for treason.
The guards step forward to drag the silent military female from his wheelchair. Lin Xu, who has always seemed meek and harmless, finally raises his eyes.
In that instant, an invisible storm erupts around him! Every light in the convalescent home goes out, and the defense systems of the entire planetary fortress overload and wail!
A mental pressure more terrifying than the abyss engulfs the scene. Every insect, including the lofty Marshal, drops to their knees and bows down against their will, overcome by an instinctive, genetic awe and fear of supreme power.
Lin Xu walks toward the Marshal, whose face has gone deathly pale. His voice is calm, yet carries unquestionable authority. "My apologies, sir." He turns and reaches out to Rex in the wheelchair. In the eyes once dismissed as worthless now shines a fierce tenderness powerful enough to devour the stars.
"No one touches my female."
