Lu Qing'an died, then was forced back to work.
Bound to a "Savior" System, his mission is to become a vicious supporting character and torment the destined-to-fall villains in every world.
The System says: "Tormenting him is the only way to keep the world stable."
So...
He frames the interstellar war god and personally sends him before a military tribunal;
He betrays his senior fellow disciple from the immortal sect and watches coldly as he is thrown into the Abyss of Ten Thousand Demons;
He makes off with the business tycoon's money, leaving him bankrupt and despairing...
He does his job as a tool character diligently, yet keeps secretly protecting them, time and again, at the edge of the System's rules.
Until...
The war god he personally crippled grabs his wrist on a barren planet, his voice hoarse: "Who are you, really?"
The senior fellow disciple, now a Demon Lord, licks the blood from his lips and laughs obsessively: "Little liar, you're the calamity I've been waiting for."
The CEO, back on his feet, corners him at the airport, eyes dangerous: "Your 'betrayal' is the most expensive betrothal gift I've ever received."
Lu Qing'an finally senses something is wrong. Why do all these villains look at him with the same possessiveness and probing curiosity?
Lu Qing'an stands at the final stage. A man reaches out to him, with a universe of stars collapsing and being reborn behind him:
"You once brought me endless pain,"
"but you were also the only light in my darkness."
"Now, choose:"
"Carry out the mission and 'end' me, or... stay and become my one and only law."
Theme: True salvation isn't a performance carried out by rote, but a choice made from the heart.
