Everyone is destined to play different roles in life, but each person has only one "life role," and can read the danmaku related to that role.
Zhou Yixing's life role is a cannon-fodder villain in a domineering CEO romance novel. After turning twenty-three, every ten days or so, a few lines would occasionally drift across his vision:
[Could this passerby move aside? He's blocking my view of our adorable couple!]
[That's him. He was bribed by the evil supporting female character and refused to speak up and clarify that the heroine didn't steal the design. He let our baby take the blame, what a scumbag.]
[Thankfully, he doesn't appear in the plot after that. The male lead warned him never to come back to City A, and good riddance.]
Zhou Yixing paid little attention to these few words. He only occasionally went through the motions and fulfilled his duty as a passerby.
After the plot had run its course, the day after he left City A and arrived in City S, the danmaku took a sudden turn:
[Baby, baby, you're just a cute little fluffy thing.]
Zhou Yixing: ...Who? What are you talking about?
[Baby, don't be sad! That scumbag top is going to regret it any minute now!]
Zhou Yixing: ...Top? Wasn't his life-role story a romance?
More and more often, he started seeing danmaku about another character's life role. That character was the protagonist bottom in a danmei novel, and the comments flooded the screen in stark contrast to the few words he got.
From watching them flaunt their love to the top chasing his wife to the crematorium, Zhou Yixing couldn't block it out. He was forced to watch the protagonists' entire gay romance unfold, until he gradually grew numb and finally ignored it all.
Until one day:
[Baby, run! The homeless man in front of you is a serial killer who's been wanted for ten years. Has the author gone crazy, writing such a shit plot?!]
[The male lead bottom kindly helps him, only to be imprisoned, tortured, and killed in return! How can this have a bad ending? I won't allow it!]
[Why can't he see these comments?! Run! Run!]
[Run!]
A deafening clap of thunder boomed outside the window. Lightning tore across the pitch-black sky screen like a sharp sword, illuminating Zhou Yixing's face as it drained of all color.
What was the male lead bottom's name again?
[Passerby Top x Villain Bottom]
An unconventional infinite-flow story. Aside from the story in this blurb, he will also encounter other plots.
