(First-person blurb, third-person story)
My name is Matsuyama Seiichi. I'm an ordinary person, at least as far as my identity here goes. Nothing more.
But in the eyes of a member of the organization whose plans I accidentally ruined, that's not the case.
A cold-faced, silver-haired man brought me into an interrogation room and demanded to know who I was meeting.
I fell silent.
What meeting? Do I have someone I'm meeting?
He flew into a rage, tortured me viciously, then shot me dead.
Thanks to my bloodline, I felt no pain. After my vital signs disappeared, I successfully turned into a cat.
I planned to start a new life somewhere else, but an utterly terrifying member of the organization, Scotch, caught me.
I thought he'd discovered my secret. I never imagined that members of an organization like his could be kind.
Two months later, I discovered that Scotch was an undercover agent. So was Bourbon, and so was that Rye. They all were.
-
Scotch recently took in a cat. He thought they would quickly grow close, but the cat was afraid of him. It only hissed and never bit.
It wouldn't eat cat food or dog food. The only time it let him pet it was when he gave it human food.
One day, Bourbon came to the safe house to exchange information. From that day on, Scotch noticed that the cat wasn't afraid of him anymore.
It was incredibly bold, taking over his food, pillow, and bed. It even dared to sleep in his arms.
Then one day, the cat turned into a human on his bed.
Scotch: ?!!
Bourbon, who climbed in through the window and witnessed everything, was completely shocked: ? Hiro, what are you doing?!
Scotch: I didn't! I swear!
Reader's Notes: 1. The protagonist is a cat spirit and a good person.
