*My own take on ABO with plenty of changes, no extra gimmicks
Blurb:
One day, after transmigrating, Wei Jiangxue was bound to a cannon-fodder roleplaying System.
The first time the System saw her, it cried out, “Good heavens! What is the transmigration bureau thinking, sending such a stunning beauty to play a cannon fodder?!”
The next second, after learning the basics about Wei Jiangxue, the System shrieked, “Damn that transmigration bureau! Why did they assign me a blind Host?!”
But after looking at Wei Jiangxue’s face, the System forgave the world. “It’s all right if you’re blind. As a genius System, I’ll guide you through your missions.”
Wei Jiangxue had lost her sight in a car accident. She accepted the transmigration bureau’s cannon-fodder roleplaying missions, and the System promised she would regain her vision and earn money, too. When the missions were done, she could save her sick grandmother and her younger sister, who was in a coma after a car accident, in another world.
The story’s protagonist is Mi Rui’an, a frail Omega pretending to be a Beta.
To avoid the eyes of her villainous uncle, Mi Rui’an hides out in a cheap, rough neighborhood and shares a rental with an Alpha.
The Alpha is crude and uneducated. After seeing her cool, delicate roommate, she shamelessly exploits and takes advantage of her.
Mi Rui’an doesn’t want trouble, so she puts up with it. The moment she regains her power, she moves out. But she isn’t a saint: she doesn’t let the Alpha who bullied her when she was down get away with it. She has someone ruin the woman’s job, leaving the Alpha who offended her dirt poor.
Now Wei Jiangxue has to play that Alpha.
[Mission One: Give the new roommate a taste of what’s coming]
Wei Jiangxue grips her cola and psychs herself up. In a moment, she’ll splash it on Mi Rui’an and tell her to take responsibility for cleaning the rental.
But things get off to a bad start. As soon as the door opens, Wei Jiangxue trips over a delivery box she left lying around. The cola spills, but all over herself. Gritting her teeth, she keeps acting and glares at the innocent-looking Mi Rui’an, who has just walked in, blaming her for it.
Mi Rui’an looks at the curly-haired woman before her, putting on a menacing front with rosy cheeks. Her fingers curl slightly around the handle of her suitcase, as if bewitched. “...All right. I’ll clean up.”
[Mission Two...]
[Mission Three...]
Wei Jiangxue is almost done with her missions, but Mi Rui’an still shows no sign of moving out. After turning it over in her mind, Wei Jiangxue decides something is off and probes, “Don’t you think this place is tiny and cramped?”
A shallow dimple appears in Mi Rui’an’s cheek. “You want to live somewhere bigger?”
Not long afterward, Wei Jiangxue is bundled off to a spacious apartment in an upscale complex. Mi Rui’an’s pale wrist circles her neck, and the scents of freesia and roses mingle as Mi Rui’an kisses her cheek. “Mark me.”
Wei Jiangxue stiffens. “Something’s not right!”
Mi Rui’an displeasedly kisses her on the lips. When they are both panting, she tells the dazed Wei Jiangxue, “What’s not right about it? I like you, and you like me. It’s perfect.”
“We were made for each other.”

Blurb:
A five-minute phone call changed Shan Qiyun’s life completely.
Her parents were dead, all the family’s assets had been mortgaged, and old friends began avoiding her. Only the headmistress of Cecile Private Girls’ School was willing to offer her temporary shelter, but nothing came without a price. Shan Qiyun could keep her student status, but she had to work for it. Her workload was even heavier than that of the regular staff.
The headmistress, who had always acted as if she adored Shan Qiyun, described her to others this way: “Shan Qiyun is strange. Apart from her face and her Omega status, she has nothing going for her.”
Then she added, “We should keep her, for the school’s good name and reputation.”
Unable to stomach their blatant exploitation and mistreatment any longer, Shan Qiyun made a scene and left Cecile Private Girls’ School.
As she stood lost in thought in the rain on a street corner, an umbrella appeared above her.
At the same time, someone held out a black card to her.
She looked up. The person before her was none other than Jia Zhuyue, her nemesis at Cecile and the Omega she hated most in the world.
Shan Qiyun thought Jia Zhuyue was a total phony. Shan Qiyun was always surrounded by hangers-on, while Jia Zhuyue was always alone. Every time, she would look over with a strange expression, as if she looked down on Shan Qiyun for showing off.
That was why Shan Qiyun was always finding excuses to pick on Jia Zhuyue, just to get her own back.
Now that she was down on her luck, why had Jia Zhuyue rushed over to hand her a card? Was she trying to mock her for being broke? She must have come to humiliate her now that Shan Qiyun had fallen from grace.
“Are you trying to keep me?”
Shan Qiyun refused to play along. She gave her sworn enemy a teasing look, trying to get under Jia Zhuyue’s skin.
Under the umbrella, the Omega’s face was pale, her raven-feather lashes fluttering softly. Her cherry-pink lips parted, and she said something Shan Qiyun never expected to hear:
“Yes. I’ll take care of you.”
In public, Shan Qiyun and Jia Zhuyue were at each other’s throats and couldn’t stand the sight of one another.
In private, Jia Zhuyue’s gaze followed Shan Qiyun every moment of every day.
The petals Shan Qiyun brushed from her shoulder, Jia Zhuyue turned into beautiful specimens. On the lawn where Shan Qiyun had stopped, Jia Zhuyue painted several portraits full of longing...
As long as she could keep chasing that dazzling cloud, Jia Zhuyue was content.
But Shan Qiyun had ended up homeless, looking especially miserable and pitiful.
Jia Zhuyue wasn’t about to miss such an opportunity. She came before Shan Qiyun with a black card and made a solemn promise: “I’ll take care of you.”
I really, really have liked you for a long time.
Theme: Face your mistakes instead of running away from them.
