The Emperor's Favor

The emperor was cold-hearted, indifferent, and avoided women. The women in his harem were nothing but decorations.

The empress dowager scolded the consorts for being useless even as she searched for new women to bring into the palace.

Before he saw Fu Yunsheng, the emperor scoffed at the idea of falling in love at first sight.

After seeing Fu Yunsheng, he concluded that he simply hadn't fallen for anyone before because his standards were too high.

From then on, His Majesty broke his vow of abstinence and could no longer stop himself.

And the only person he ever laid a hand on was Fu Yunsheng.

Thanks to the emperor, Fu Yunsheng spent every night attending him and every day fighting palace intrigues. Her life had become wonderfully regular.

Three months after entering the palace, she rose from Talented Lady to Consort. In turn, the other consorts' schemes against her grew increasingly vicious.

Could the mighty emperor really not protect one woman? He refused to believe it.

As a result of his determination, Fu Yunsheng became empress in her third year in the palace.
