The Pitiful Omega, But The Strongest Healing Type

My next novel will be Sickly Darling, Master of Monsters. See the bottom for the blurb.

Blurb for this novel:

Cold, aloof, abstinent workaholic top Alpha x laid-back, goofy, sunny bottom Omega

Ji Rong, the strongest healing-type Level One Executor, dies in the line of duty. A year later, he awakens in the body of Ji Rong, a pitiful little Omega.

On the surface, Ji Rong is sobbing. On the inside, he is overjoyed.

Disabled legs? A genetic defect? Low fertility?

Perfect! Now he has a legitimate excuse to lie flat for the rest of his life!

Just as Ji Rong is planning where to enjoy his retirement, far from pollutants, the White Tower assigns him to Shen Lanruo, a Level One Executor with a 99% compatibility rate.

The legendary Shen Lanruo spends all year on the front lines containing pollutants, never takes a day off, and treats home like a hotel. He is a cold-hearted workaholic who keeps everyone at arm's length.

Ji Rong is reluctant, but has no choice but to accept the arrangement.

On the first day he is brought back to Shen Lanruo's enormous house, Shen Lanruo tosses him a marriage contract. “Fulfill your duties as my partner, and I'll make sure you want for nothing. I have just one request: there must be no emotional entanglements between us.”

With no romantic experience to speak of, Ji Rong sees nothing strange about this. He knows a contract like this only requires them to keep up appearances, so he signs without a second thought.

Food, lodging, and expenses covered, and a husband who never comes home.

As for emotional entanglements...

He's not interested.

*

Everyone knows Shen Lanruo is aloof, cold, harsh, and sharp-tongued, and never easy to approach.

No one could imagine him showing any emotion, let alone that he had been secretly in love with his senior, Ji Rong, for a long time.

When Ji Rong dies unexpectedly on a mission, Shen Lanruo is devastated. When he learns that Ji Rong's only gland has been donated to the Omega standing before him, Shen Lanruo accepts a genetic match for the first time. All he wants is to carefully protect the proof that Ji Rong once lived.

The little Omega smells of citrus, just like him. He loves desserts and sewing, just like him. He even gets mischievous from time to time, just like him... Just like him.

Shen Lanruo massages the little Omega's numb legs. The tears welling in his eyes, the stubborn look on his face, the way he speaks... Everything is exactly like Ji Rong.

Shen Lanruo's heart trembles.

He realizes... Ji Rong really has come back.

He stops suppressing his feelings. Before long, he has the Omega in bed, marks him, marries him, and eagerly wants to have children with him.

Ji Rong's legs are limp as he is maneuvered into all sorts of indecent positions. Tears streaming down his face, he protests, “Didn't you say we couldn't get emotionally involved? You jerk! You lied!”

Ji Rong is unbearably adorable now that his cover is blown. Shen Lanruo grabs his ankle and presses him even deeper, apologizing without a shred of remorse, his voice laughing amid their gasps.

“I was wrong. We should get emotionally involved.”

“Ji Rong, you're only allowed to get emotionally involved with me.”

*

It doesn't take long for Shen Lanruo's colleagues at the Abnormal Affairs Bureau to hear that he has married a little Omega.

Delicate little desserts start appearing on Shen Lanruo's desk, a cute little toy gets pinned to his briefcase, and the former workaholic starts clocking out on time every day to go home. Even his stubbornly high pollution level begins to fall.

His colleagues are envious, and soon discover:

One bite of a dessert: pollution level -10.

One hug for the toy: pollution level -20...

His colleagues get ideas. “Could you let your wife...”

Shen Lanruo: “Don't even think about it.”

[Bonus scene]

Once Shen Lanruo lets loose, he's like a wild beast. Ji Rong crawls away in tears. “I thought Omegas weren't supposed to have healing powers! No... That's too much...”

Shen Lanruo pulls him back and cuddles and coaxes him. “Baby, my pollution level is high again. Save me.”

[Reading notes]

1. Goofy, sweet, and satisfying, with no angst or groveling. The secret identities are revealed quickly, and the plot is delightfully unhinged. Both characters are at the top of the power rankings in this story, so please don't overthink the logic.

2. One-on-one, both are each other's first love, with no unrequited past love. There is a size and height difference. The top is wolf-coded, dog-coded, and a white knight; the bottom is bunny-coded, cotton-doll-coded, and a sickly little ray of sunshine.

3. An alternate modern setting with my own take on ABO, the Abnormal Affairs Bureau, supernatural abilities, and pollutants. Lots of original worldbuilding.

4. Please don't give unsolicited writing advice. No need to tell me if you're dropping the story. If you argue with me, you're right.

Blurb for the upcoming novel Sickly Darling, Master of Monsters:

Milo was sickly from childhood, and his biological parents abandoned him on a desolate planet.

He was in so much pain that he went numb, and thought he would die unnoticed in the vastness of space.

But just before he lost consciousness, he was wrapped in a cold, slippery embrace.

It told him that it was his true family.

*

When he came to, Milo cracked open an eggshell and crawled out of a dead egg, surrounded by countless terrifying monsters.

He licked his two little canine teeth, touched his horns, and wagged the little tail behind him.

Hungry. So hungry...

It turned out he had become a monster, too.

Life in the interstellar age is chaotic and dangerous.

Alien species, strange phenomena, abnormal disasters... Everyone struggles to survive as best they can.

An elite Imperial squad is being overwhelmed by a horde of frenzied fire dragons, suffering heavy losses.

After a faint, weak cough, an invisible force pierces the lead dragon's chest.

The people look up in shock. A beautiful white-haired boy is being held by something indescribable, nibbling at a heart engulfed in flames.

The fire dragons, who had been roaring in a frenzy, fall silent at once.

“I'm not cold anymore. Thanks, Papa.” The boy's voice is no longer hoarse, color returns to his lips, and he nestles against the indescribable creature, his little tail winding around an invisible arm.

“...Master.”

The fire dragons tuck in their scales and tails, murmuring in fear.

That being is the source of their power, the beginning of everything, above all alien species: the true Master of Monsters.

*

To interfere with the interstellar plane and better reclaim its power, an evil god nurtures an offspring from a fragmentary human soul.

Incomplete, and therefore greedy.

Imperfect, and therefore beautiful.

The dragon clan offers up its heart, and the boy eats it in two bites. His voice is weak and breathless. “That's not enough.”

The insect clan offers up its throne. The boy sits there for a little while, then throws himself back into the god's arms and mutters listlessly, “This is boring.”

All the terrifying alien species that once rampaged across the stars have no choice but to put aside their brutality and slaughter, offering everything their clans possess just to bring the boy a moment of happiness.

But in the end, the boy mercilessly crushes them, feasts on them, and takes the spoils back to the god.

“Will you praise me, Papa?”

The boy lies against its chest, his little tail slipping into its palm. With a gemstone formed from its power between his teeth, he asks for praise and a kiss.
