The first time Qin Guan gets knocked over by Jiang Ling, he hears the little bird's chirping thoughts.

Only then does Qin Guan realize that he is the villain in a business-warfare novel, and that the relatives, friends, and coworkers he trusts are all betraying him.

At least the little bird won't lie to him.
