Lately, I've just started high school, and before I've even made any new friends, it seems like the Fire God sitting next to me already hates me.
On the first day of school, I notice my seatmate looking at me. Just as I'm about to say hello, he whips his head toward the window.
Me: ...?
Whenever our eyes accidentally meet, his expression turns especially fierce.
Later, he goes from avoiding my gaze to taking detours whenever he sees me.
His ears even turn red with anger.
So I've reached a conclusion: My seatmate, Fire God, who looks like a giant and seems to have a terrible temper, hates me.
To avoid angering Fire God and getting bullied at school, something I never experienced in elementary or middle school, I decide to treat him with extreme caution.
I make a plan in my notebook: interact with him less, make myself less noticeable, and just hang on until we get sorted into new classes in our second year!
Then one day, a bug flies into the classroom through the window. I jump back in fright, only to find Fire God standing behind me.
I think there's no escaping being bullied in high school...
But even though Fire God wears a tight, sour expression and is as stiff as a mummy, he still reaches out and tosses the bug out the window.
Me: Thank you so much, Fire God!
He glances at me, then shifts his gaze to the ceiling. His voice sounds awkward, and his ears are red enough to drip blood. "...It was nothing."
After that, I think Fire God is a really good person. Even though he hates me, he still helps his classmates. Looks like I misunderstood him before.
A few things to know:
1. The heroine is terrible at sports and has no interest in any of them. She's also a little unlucky.
2. There probably won't be much description of basketball games. If there is, I won't describe how the game is played, because this bird doesn't know basketball TvT.
3. A slice-of-life romance, told in first person
4. OOC warning
5. Short-tempered, dog-phobic Fire God x oblivious, laid-back capybara-type heroine [pet Shiba Inu]
