Lin Jianwen is an anomaly among the evolved.
He didn’t awaken his ability until he was sixteen, but on the very day it manifested, it went berserk and devoured the abilities of every evolved person within a ten-kilometer radius. He was branded the most dangerous evolved person alive.
Just as everyone expected Lin Jianwen to be imprisoned, the ever-mysterious Higher-Dimensional Aberrant Species Monitoring Bureau stepped in to protect him and offered him a position.
For the next ten years, Lin Jianwen served as the Bureau’s blade, killing any god or Buddha who stood in his way, until he eventually became its most powerful authority, feared by all.

In an age where strength speaks for itself, Lin Jianwen’s subordinates think their boss is perfect in every way, except for his taste in men. He actually got himself an ordinary human boyfriend with nothing going for him but a pretty face.
His subordinates are afraid Lin Jianwen is being duped. “Boss, what can Tan Zishu do besides show off like a peacock in front of you every day?”
Lin Jianwen reaches his own conclusion. “He’s willing to put in the effort for me? That’s good enough.”
Subordinates: ? Is that what we meant?
Ever since falling in love, Lin Jianwen has found his job increasingly hateful, especially the rebel organization “Black Sand.” They keep inciting aberrant species into riots, getting in the way of his dates.
To put an end to Black Sand once and for all, Lin Jianwen sends his people to investigate. His subordinates discover that a well-known tech company has apparently been funding Black Sand for years, and one of its shareholders is Tan Zishu.
His subordinates think they’ve finally caught Tan Zishu in the act. “Boss, Tan Zishu’s identity is unclear. He must have ulterior motives for getting close to you!”
Lin Jianwen defends his boyfriend. “That only proves he has a good eye for investments. He’s not the pretty-boy you keep calling him.”
Subordinates: We’re doomed. He’s got a bad case of lovesickness :)

Then, during a raid to surround Black Sand’s leader, Lin Jianwen is forced to cancel his date with Tan Zishu.
With his resentment at its peak, Lin Jianwen breaks the seal on his power in a fit of fury. Ten years later, his ability runs wild again, indiscriminately attacking every evolved person nearby.
In an instant, friend and foe alike flee in every direction.
Lin Jianwen charges straight to the Black Sand leader and smashes his mask with one blow, only to find the most familiar face of all beneath it: Tan Zishu.
Lin Jianwen: “...I’m sure you have a good reason.”
Tan Zishu, who had been completely open with him in bed just the night before, gives him a charming smile. “Darling, would you hear me out?”
His subordinates shriek, “Boss, get a grip! Don’t let him charm you!”
With reinforcements from the Monitoring Bureau about to arrive and Tan Zishu’s identity on the verge of being exposed, Lin Jianwen thinks for a moment, then punches Tan Zishu into his ability space.
His subordinates stare at the spot where Tan Zishu disappeared, falling collectively silent.
Lin Jianwen’s expression grows dangerous. “My husband needs me to personally discipline him. Any objections?”
