Lian Ai was an utterly ordinary maid cafe employee, until she found a stray little seal lying outside the shop, tapping on the door with its tiny flippers.
The little seal was pure white, with tears shimmering in its big eyes. Lian Ai's heart melted. Her intelligence flew straight out the window. She took the seal home and decided to adopt it.
At first, the little seal could only squeak. But after eating its fill, it actually started talking like a person. Rolling around on Lian Ai's bed, it said, "I want to be a little idol!"
Lian Ai was stunned. "Can seals become idols?"
Though she wanted to help the seal that had gained humanlike intelligence, Lian Ai was broke. She and the seal could only get by on instant noodles and stale pastries left over from the shop.
To feed the seal, she decided to buy a lottery ticket. When she scratched it off, she found a strange QR code. Excited at the thought of making a fortune, she scanned it, only to find herself and the seal accidentally pulled into a strange game about making money.
For no apparent reason, Lian Ai began playing a role-playing game in a world that made no sense at all.
[Reading Guide]
* Role-playing with a suspenseful tone.
* The little seal has a human form, but spends most of the time as a seal: a baby harp seal. It's a little willful at first, but turns into a good little one later on.
* Not an ensemble cast. The main cast consists only of the female lead and the little seal. The female lead is spacey, and the little seal is rather hot-tempered.
(The cover shows the little seal in its seal form.)
* A passion project. I'll see how it goes, but it will be free no matter what.
* Important! This story is about the two original characters I'm raising!
