A human powerhouse canary x a vine tyrant caretaker
*-
After surviving a near-fatal ordeal in the apocalypse, Ling Shuo returns only to find himself "imprisoned" by a strange creature.
The man is incredibly tall, with long white hair cascading like the Milky Way. When his luminous green eyes look at Ling Shuo, they always hold an inexplicable expression: compassion?
But the man always has several thick green vines trailing behind him. There's no way that's normal, right?!
"System?! You said I could go home if I survived!"
[Host, this really is the world you came from~ I've brought you here, so the rest is up to you to figure out!] With that, the System shut down and made its escape.
Ling Shuo is on the verge of tears: Don't leave me in a place this weird, hey!!!
At first, Ling Shuo is full of suspicion. He struggles, refuses to eat, and wants to escape every moment of the day.
But gradually, he realizes that the strange creature means him no harm.
Every day, the creature comes to his room, holds him, and tells him bedtime stories in a language he can't understand.
It brings him all kinds of exquisite clothes and dresses him up beautifully.
The food on the table in his room is always changing, and sometimes beautiful gems and toys appear by his bedside...

Several days pass like this. Ling Shuo stops resisting, eats properly every day, obediently curls up against its body to listen to stories, and no longer tries to escape.
His obedience greatly pleases his "keeper," who gradually relaxes his guard.
One day, while his "keeper" isn't paying attention, Ling Shuo seizes the chance to escape from the enormous mansion.
Ling Shuo thinks he'll be safe once he gets out, and runs toward the city like a madman.
But what awaits him is a city crawling with terrifying, inhuman creatures.
His fellow humans are treated like merchandise, pets, or even food.
Th-this can't be right?!
Ling Shuo's entire worldview is on the verge of collapse.
As he flees, he accidentally enrages a terrifying beast. Just as it's about to kill him, an enormous vine pierces straight through the beast's chest.
"My beautiful star, this is no place for humans to run around as they please."
"Good boy, come home with me."

Edgar has lived for over a thousand years as a lord, and he has long grown tired of his savage, bloodthirsty nature. He built a peaceful, tranquil city and made it his home.
Looking at this city, built with human knowledge, he can't help wishing he had a pretty human of his own.
Just like the human Lady Agatha keeps: sweet and beautiful, a delight to look at just sitting at home.
But how could those unremarkable creatures ever catch his eye?
They are weak and helpless. He could easily take their fragile lives by simply tightening his vines.
That was what Edgar had always believed, until he met him.
The little creature came from nowhere and crashed into his flower garden, leaving a huge crater.
Thorns had left several red scratches on his pale skin, but the little human didn't seem to notice. He was fast asleep among the crushed flowers.
Like a star fallen from the night sky, like a priceless treasure lost to the world...
So Edgar happily brought the little human home (*^v^*)
One-on-one, a pure-love couple
The System mentioned in the blurb will barely appear in the story (you can think of it as not appearing at all).
This is a planned story. I'll start it after finishing my current one (probably during winter break).
Theme: Cut through the thorns and pursue the light
