Couple: Lively, short-tempered fox who thinks he's invincible x immortal lord who says one thing but means another
Everyone says the fox clan is cunning, but Su Er was spoiled by the Azure Cloud Sect's sect leader and his wife until he became a naive little hellion.
The person he hates most is Xiao Yin, the young master who grew up with him. He's cold, arrogant, and domineering, with a ton of rules. He even meddles and nags whenever Su Er talks to anyone else.
Naturally, the two of them clash at every turn.
Then one day, during another argument, the two get into a fight and accidentally uncover an ancient scroll of golden-yellow silk, long sealed away.
Written on it in bold Daoist script are three characters: Marriage Fate Registry.
And the two names listed beneath it are none other than
Xiao Yin. Su Er.
Both of them freeze.
Su Er goes from being shocked that his parents aren't his real parents, to finding out that he's betrothed to Xiao Yin, to remembering that Xiao Yin already has someone in his heart. His thoughts are in turmoil.
Suddenly, he hears a scoffing laugh. Seeing Xiao Yin's twisted expression, somewhere between a smile and a sneer, he bristles on the spot, his fox tail sticking straight up. "What's that look for? I don't agree. I'm breaking off the engagement!"
At this, Xiao Yin's face turns ashen. He sneers, "That's not up to you."
With that, he turns on his heel and strides away.
That night, the more Su Er thinks about it, the angrier he gets. No wonder Xiao Yin has always picked on him and found fault with everything he does!
Maybe he's known all along that Su Er was given to him as a child bride!
Su Er was born proud. How could he let anyone belittle and control him?
He immediately writes a note and runs away in the middle of the night.
Hmph. Once his cultivation makes him the mightiest in all three realms, he'll make his parents regret everything and make Xiao Yin kneel, apologize, and bow to him!
The sect leader and his wife are shocked when they see the note and hurry to go after him. "Our precious boy, if he doesn't like the engagement, we'll call it off. Does he really not want anything to do with us either? Hurry, go after him!"
Xiao Yin's eyes flicker, and he coldly stops them. "If he hates us so much, won't you only make him more annoyed by chasing after him?"
The two elders decide he has a point, so they send a disciple they know to find Su Er and talk to him.
The next day, however, the sect leader and his wife receive another letter of resignation.
In the letter, Xiao Yin puts it nicely: Don't worry about me. I'm going down the mountain to train.
The couple stare at the two letters and nearly pass out.
Those two little rascals!
