My Neighbor, Yukimura

My neighbor, Yukimura-kun

He’s handsome, gets great grades, has a wonderful personality, and is incredibly athletic.

He can play tennis, play the piano, paint, take beautiful pictures of me, and he’s super attentive when looking after kids.

He can watch the stars and the moon with me, talking about poetry and philosophy of life.

In my eyes, he’s practically perfect and can do anything.

He also has an incredibly impressive title: the Child of God.

So I fell for him. It was as easy as breathing.

And then, he confessed to me.

What??? He likes me too???

The new story next door, Tezuka-kun's Disaster, is updating!

I, Teruhashi Airi, am a universally acknowledged perfect beauty, a masterpiece personally stamped with divine approval, and a walking generator of "Oh!" reactions. From the moment I stepped through the gates of Seishun Academy, a heavenly symphony of "Oh!" played continuously in my ears.

Great. The world is still functioning normally.

But before long, I encountered the first great setback of my life.

A man like an ice sculpture, with tea-colored hair, reflective glasses, and a chill of minus fifty degrees radiating from him.

"Student, running in indoor corridors violates school rules, Chapter 7, Article 3." He pushed up his glasses. No "Oh!" Not even a flicker of shock in his eyes.

This is im-poss-i-ble!!!

From that moment on, I had only one goal in life: make that iceberg, Tezuka-kun, say "Oh!" It would be the highest honor the gods could bestow upon him.

Wait, what? He pushed up his glasses and said, "Don't let your guard down"?

Meanwhile, without my knowledge, a superpower accident quietly took place.

In a parallel world, Saiki Kusuo was startled by a cockroach and tore through space-time, meeting this world's Saiki Kusuko.

A surge of chaotic energy struck the person closest to me: Kunimitsu Tezuka.

And so he gained a temporary superpower:

[Reading One Person's Thoughts] It only works on "Teruhashi Airi."

Reader's guide:

High school setting, parallel-universe premise, and a mountain of headcanons.

A chaotic crossover of anime and plots, with one guiding principle: do whatever feels fun.

The heroine isn't really a perfect beauty. She's vain and full of herself, but has her own little schemes.

Thesis: Love and perseverance are both medals of youth.
