Lin Luomiu's peaceful life studying in Japan came to an end when he was hit by a "Nara Seafood" delivery truck. When he opened his eyes again, slimes were squelching their way into his room!
"Ouch... But how do slimes eat?"
Fascinated by the physical traits of magical creatures, Lin Luomiu tried dissecting a slime, only to discover, to his disappointment, that slimes weren't edible.
As a last resort, he began making his first dungeon dish, moss soup. Just then, a round little white bird fell from the sky and revealed the secrets of the dungeon to him.
2.
On a desolate wasteland, evil creatures roamed the fog. The remaining magical creatures, guided by the gods, fled underground, creating a unique and balanced dungeon ecosystem. Luomiu landed in one such dungeon and grew a pair of wide cat ears.
He accepted the lord's scroll for the "Mossy Slime Dungeon" and began exploring and clearing out the area, organizing supplies, planting crops and raising livestock, and bringing in the dungeon's unique species...
The dungeon gradually became a habitable place. But to feed more forestkin, slimes, and magical creatures, Luomiu had to venture upward to find more resources.
The day he reached the surface, Luomiu saw a vast expanse of land, completely empty and lifeless.
But!
"There's so much land!"
Luomiu directed the army of soil slimes behind him. "Go! Eat all the pollutants in the soil! Once you're done, I'll plant your favorite Burning Earth Potatoes!"
3.
The slimes loved their Burning Earth Potatoes, and spent the rest of their time just squelching around. The white bird who'd fallen from the sky had fallen for the healing sprite and kissed it every day. The forestkin were stiff and had no sense of fun...
Just as Luomiu was starting to feel terribly lonely, a carefree Nekomata emerged from his shadow and stepped onto his chest.
"Meow."
Feed me, human!
The Nekomata rubbed against Luomiu's nose.
"Meow."
Since we both have cat ears, if your food tastes good, I might protect you!
So cute.
Cute from every angle.
Luomiu had never learned the "Wild Heart" spell, but he became a cat servant and gained the chance to communicate with Nekomata Logistics.
One day, after completing another deal with Nekomata Logistics, Luomiu called out to the mysterious deliveryman wearing a cat mask.
"Wait a moment, Mr. Deliveryman."
"Hmm? Want to add something to your order?"
The mysterious deliveryman turned back with a smile as he mounted his fire motorcycle.
His smooth, serpentine hair billowed in the hot wind, like a black screen. He looked eerie and mysterious.
"How do you take care of cats at your company?"
Luomiu lifted a "slightly chubby" Nekomata out of his shadow.
"My cat's been a bit picky lately."
The mysterious deliveryman saw Luomiu's earnest expression and the plump Nekomata ducking its head to avoid his gaze. He smiled in amusement.
"What he needs most right now is to lose weight."
"He's not fat... Huh?"
Luomiu's eyes widened in surprise.
"I might be an expert. Trust me."
The mysterious deliveryman turned the ignition. Nine enormous, black tails, much like a Nekomata's, burned behind him. He laughed twice. "Trust me. I doubt that little guy in your arms could even manage one fire motorcycle. He'd need two."
Luomiu tilted his head and stared for a long time. "Are you... the Nekomata King?"
"You can call me that."
The mysterious deliveryman laughed again at Luomiu. Smiling, he disappeared into the fog. Before he left, he said, "See you next time, little black-footed cat."
"See you next time." Luomiu waved the plump Nekomata around. "Nekomata King, I'll help him lose weight!"
"Aaaah!"
In the midst of all that harmony, only the Nekomata, forced to lose weight, wailed in sorrow.
