If the King Hadn’t “Listened” to the Liar’s Lies

Once upon a time, there was a young queen named Elvira, ruler of a small kingdom. She was always worried. "Am I too young to be a queen at twelve?"

Her mother would gently stroke her hair and tell her, "Age isn't what makes a good ruler. Wisdom and character are what matter."

But how could she know whether she had wisdom and good character? She was still troubled by the question.

When her coronation was approaching, two craftsmen came to the palace seeking work. They claimed they could weave the most perfect royal gown! Wearing it would prove that Elvira was the finest ruler of all!

Elvira was overjoyed.
