The Story of the Moonlight Beast

A moon beast named Miranda huddled with her good friend Selena in a small cage at the magical pet market, nervously watching the customers come and go. They looked like little ponies, but were only as big as kittens. When they weren't glowing, they looked like two miniature white horses.

"I wonder what kind of person will take us home!" Selena said, both nervous and hopeful. "I hope we get to go to the miserly merchant Simpson. I hear he has all kinds of magical creatures, but none of them can glow. If I go there, I can be the prettiest one..."
