Yan Yushen had always been the kind of kid other parents wished they had. Everything had gone smoothly for him, from childhood onward. Not only did he get good grades, he also managed to steal another family's precious child away.
That person was his childhood friend, Ren Yishen.
As the saying goes, the tallest tree catches the wind. And so Yan Yushen suffered the greatest blow of his life.
Ren Yishen died on Yan Yushen's birthday.
On the third day after Ren Yishen's burial,
Yan Yushen saw him.
Ren Yishen had become a ghost.
The ghost glanced at him and folded his arms, looking smug. "What? Don't recognize me?"
Yan Yushen: "? I'm seeing a ghost."
Ren Yishen: "Well, you are seeing a ghost."
As a ghost, Ren Yishen was bored. Only Yan Yushen could see him, so he followed Yan Yushen around every day.
When a romantic rival tried to comfort Yan Yushen, Ren Yishen went over and teased him.
When Yan Yushen worked, he blew cold air beside him.
When Yan Yushen felt hot, Ren Yishen curled up beside him to cool him down.
He really was a pain, but Yan Yushen really did love him.
Yan Yushen's heart gradually settled. He thought it wasn't so bad that Ren Yishen had become a ghost. At least he could spend every day with him.
Then, at the very last moment, he woke from the dream.
The other's cold, translucent body vanished from his side.
And on Yan Yushen's ring finger, a ring glimmered with a faint, eerie light, mixed with the bloodstains from the car accident that he had never been able to scrub away.
Ren Yishen disappeared from his world once again.
