[Ditsy quail vs. overbearing patriarch]
An Chun is a little quail spirit.
After he came of age, Grandpa Tree asked his grandson to find him a job in the city.
It was raising ducks in a huge mansion.
Good benefits, high pay, and right up his alley.
An Chun was happy every day.
The old butler was worried he'd get bored, so he gave him a plot of land and let him do whatever he wanted with it.
Every day, An Chun hoped the duck couple would lay eggs soon, while diligently digging the soil and planting vegetables.
Life was peaceful. An Chun often heard his coworkers talk about the mansion's owner, his employer, and what a generous, kindhearted man he was.
An Chun admired him so much. Long live good people!
He resolved to raise fatter ducks and grow bigger vegetables to repay his employer.
One ordinary day, after taking a bath, An Chun sneaked into the kitchen for the bedtime milk the housekeeper had left for him. Then someone wrapped an arm around his shoulders from behind.
When An Chun woke up, he stared blankly at the good man beside him.
As the realization slowly sank in, An Chun blushed.
Two months later, An Chun stared in alarm at the egg on the bed. How could he have laid an egg? He was a male quail!
Guan Tanming was the chairman of the Guan Group.
One day, drunk, he slept with the new "swan keeper" at his house.
To take responsibility and avoid an arranged marriage, Guan Tanming dragged him off to register their marriage the next day.
After they married, his little wife never fought for anything and was as sweet and obedient as a quail.
Whenever he said east, his little wife said west.
Whenever he talked about the sky, his little wife brought up the ground, never letting the conversation fall flat.
Guan Tanming was very satisfied.
But two months later,
his little wife walked up to him, holding an egg the size of a quail egg. His face, as soft and pink as a peach, was adorably red as he shyly told him that he had laid it.
Guan Tanming: ? Is that what you're talking about today?
A little extra:
It took time to hatch an egg, and Guan Tanming watched helplessly as his little wife sat astride the egg every day.
The person in question was completely unaware, dutifully sitting there with his hips raised for two hours every day.

Lately, An Chun had kept feeling someone watching him. Then the man flipped him over and pinned him to the bed.
When An Chun realized what he was about to do, he hurriedly reached out.
"Wait, my egg!"
Warm breath brushed his ear.
"Don't worry, the baby's already been put somewhere safe."
