In the second year of Yuanshuo, the Xiongnu invaded the frontier. The emperor sent General Qing out from Yunzhong. He captured thousands of enemy heads and prisoners, and Wei Qing was made Marquis of Changping.

General Qing took the lands south of the Yellow River, and the emperor established Shuofang Commandery.

That same year, Liu Che dreamed of a pretty little girl falling from the sky and tumbling into his arms.

She called herself Shuofang, and even called him Father.

Liu Che sat bolt upright in his sickbed, at death's door.

Wei Qing received an imperial summons and entered the Xuanshi Hall alone. He saw Liu Che reclining lazily on a couch, rolling a sour jujube between his fingers.

"Zhongqing, I'm pregnant."

"It's yours."

Wei Qing dropped to his knees on the spot.

A few things to know before reading:

1. The heroine is a transmigrator and the spirit of Shuofang City. The inspiration came from a netizen's remark that "Shuofang City is the Han Dynasty's eldest princess." In essence, she's a mass of spiritual energy. I'm just having fun with an absurd premise.

2. Since Wei Qing conquered Shuofang, he's also the heroine's father. She really does have two dads. Liu Che and Wei Qing share the task of raising a child, with nothing but pure ruler-and-subject affection between them. Pure ruler-and-subject affection!

3. The story is a funny, doting child-rearing comedy, not a strong-female-lead story.
