The Phoenix's Prisoner's Lament

I, Su Ci'an, am the only female top scorer in the Great Qi Dynasty.

After ten years of hard study, I thought I could finally stand beside the one I loved, the princess, and pursue our ideals together.

But at the Qionglin Banquet, she held up the love poems we had written to each other and accused me of immoral conduct before the entire court, demoting me to her personal lady-in-waiting.

She clipped my wings and broke my pride. In the name of love, she imprisoned me in the imperial palace.

"Ci'an, I'm only doing this to protect you," she said, stroking my face tenderly.

She thought she had tamed a canary.

She never knew the phoenix would rise from the ashes only to burn itself alive and drag her down to hell with it.
