Any genre is fine. If there's a couple, I prefer a relationship with lots of tension and push and pull. For apocalyptic and infrastructure-building stories, I like passionate characters who work hard toward their goals. For imperial-examination stories, I like clever characters with good strategies. I'm not too fond of golden fingers.
