Looking for a Book, Everyone!

I'm looking for a novel, probably an apocalypse story. At the beginning, the male lead kills a brain worm and gains an ability similar to a System. Later, he gains the ability to control hair. I distinctly remember there being manifested entities, including mythical figures becoming real. There were also city giants, iron cities, and things like that.
