Cross-World Watch-Along Stories: Anime or Chinese Animation

I've read quite a few of these, but it seems like a lot of them get abandoned before they're finished. Why does nobody write stories about Battle Through the Heavens or Perfect World when they're so popular? Wouldn't it be awesome to play the scene of Yan Di appearing in The Great Ruler during the part where Xiao Yan gets his engagement broken off? Why does nobody write that?
