Looking for Tomb-Raiding Stories, with the Lead Treating Ordinary Rice Fans as Passersby, Not Fawning Over Them

I've read a lot of tomb-raiding novels, including the popular ones. It feels like plenty of stories have fans or random outsiders transmigrating into tomb-raiding worlds, but not many are actually good. Are there any that feel more realistic and interesting? Some protagonists don't seem to have much of a sense of self or their own ideas.
