Women's skirts in the Tang Dynasty. "Luo skirt" is not actually a style of skirt, but a general term for skirts made of silk, so Luo skirt only represents the material, not the style. The favorite thing for women in the Tang Dynasty to wear is the pomegranate skirt. "Prostrate yourself under the pomegranate skirt" refers to this kind of pomegranate skirt. The allusion of prostrating yourself under the pomegranate skirt is said to be related to the story of the ashe-picking emperor Li Longji and his daughter-in-law Yang Guifei. Pomegranate skirts are mainly red, as gorgeous as pomegranate flowers. A poem by Lu Xiang of the Tang Dynasty said, "The young woman has a pomegranate skirt, with a new make-up and a white jade face." In addition to the pomegranate skirt, another popular skirt in the Tang Dynasty is the long skirt. The specific style is Zhou Fang's "Hairpin Flower" The long skirt worn by the maid painted in "Lady Picture" is tied up with a brocade belt on the chest, and the wide hem is dragged on the ground. It is luxurious and dignified. Moreover, this kind of clothing exposes a large area of the neck, collarbone and chest of Tang women, showing off their feminine beauty without scruples. There is also a kind of "pleated skirt", which is the pleated skirt and the thousand-pleated skirt. The pleat is the pleat on the skirt. Further subdivided, there is the sheep pleated skirt introduced from the Western Regions, also called the sheep intestine skirt. Among the more famous skirts, one is the "Empress Wu Embroidered Skirt" and the other is the Bird Skirt. Empress Wu's embroidered skirt was unearthed from the underground palace of Famen Temple. The entire skirt is inlaid with gold and silver jewels, and the jewels are dazzling. What's even more rare is that the warp threads of Empress Wu's embroidered skirt are all made of gold. The gold thread is only 0.06 Mm, which is thinner than a human hair. It is truly a work of art. The Bird Skirt is Princess Anle's skirt. It is made of white bird feathers. The color is very conspicuous. It looks one color when viewed from the front, but another color when viewed from another angle. The white bird pattern flashes on it, which is extremely luxurious.
