Waiting to Die After Waking Up? I Emptied the Clan Treasury and Ran Overnight

[Fleeing Famine] [Rebirth] [Pocket Dimension] [Stockpiling] [Natural Disasters] [Independent Female Lead] [Farming]

Shen Sanniang is reborn the night before the clan elders declare her a curse upon the household and sentence her to be drowned in a pond.

In her previous life, she believed her mother's words: "Just bear with it and it'll pass." Instead, she was bound hand and foot and thrown into an icy river, dying without even a pair of shoes.

This time, when she opens her eyes, she has a strange new memory in her mind and a small storage space in her palm that can only hold inanimate objects.

The clan's granary, medicine cabinet, ironware, cloth, and salt: she takes it all. While the entire clan gets drunk at a sacrificial banquet, she clears out everything accumulated over three generations.

At dawn, the Shen family finds the storeroom empty, Sanniang missing, and the hemp rope meant for drowning her neatly folded outside the ancestral hall.

But Shen Sanniang has already made her way into the dense mountain forests to the south.

She knows that drought will come after the start of spring, locusts will cross the land in summer and leave nothing alive, and by autumn this region will be a living hell.

She has to find a water source, build a shelter, and stockpile enough food for the winter before the refugees pour in.

She has no one to rely on and no way back.

There are wild beasts in the mountains and refugees beyond them, but Shen Sanniang grits her teeth and smiles. "It's still better than being drowned."
