Reborn to Recruit a Husband: The Ascetic Regent Went Mad

In her previous life, Jiang Yao drugged the Prince Regent to force him to marry her, only to spend three years imprisoned in the cold palace before being burned alive. Not only had she loved the wrong man, she’d met a gruesome end. Reborn, she wakes on the very night she once drugged him and forced him into marriage. She looks at the bowl of love potion on the table and knocks it over without hesitation. The cold-faced Prince Regent, Shen Shao, enters the hall. Right in front of him, Jiang Yao drops to her knees and bows deeply. She coolly swears that from now on, she will never bother His Highness again, and that they will have nothing more to do with each other. After that, Jiang Yao not only supports the impoverished young talent who saved her life in her previous existence, she also sends out invitations for suitors to compete for a princess’s hand. All she wants is an ordinary man with no power or influence and a gentle disposition, so she can live a quiet life. But the moment the Empress Dowager’s spies make a move, every eligible suitor’s prospects are mysteriously ruined. When she smiles at a gentle young gentleman from a distinguished family, the usually composed, ascetic Prince Regent finally loses control. Shen Shao blocks every man around her from getting anywhere, then brings an imperial edict to her door, offering himself as her husband. The Prince Regent, who holds power over the whole realm, casts aside all his pride. His eyes are filled with obsession and fury. “All the eligible men in the capital have been rendered useless. Would you consider me worthy of marrying into your household, Princess?”
