A Stand-In Prosecutor from the Start, I Am Seoul's Spring

In 2000, in Busan, at the foot of Haksan Mountain.

Han Jeonghun personally buried the body of his twin brother, Han Jeonghyeon, then walked through the doors of the Seoul District Prosecutors' Office.

From mob enforcer to righteous prosecutor, from the gutter to the clouds, all it took was an identical face.

His brother left behind more than a prosecutor's ID. He also left behind his beautiful, refined wife. A chaebol heiress offered him an alliance, a top-tier star knocked on his door late at night, and a political heavyweight clapped him on the shoulder and called him one of their own.

Meanwhile, enemies lurking in the shadows were digging into Han Jeonghyeon's past, trying to uncover the truth from the ashes.

Han Jeonghun turned no one away. He accepted every offer.

He played the upright, incorruptible prosecutor while using underworld tactics to eliminate anyone who stood in his way.

Some said this was the best of times. The glow of the Miracle on the Han River still lingered, and the wave of democratization swept across the peninsula. If you were ruthless enough, you could get anything.

Some said this was the worst of times. Chaebols colluded with prosecutors, politicians consorted with gangsters, and justice was nothing but a fig leaf for power.

Han Jeonghun stood in his top-floor office in the Seoul District Prosecutors' Office, looking down over the brilliantly lit city.

"This is my era."
