Great Ming: Beating Zhu Di to a Pulp, Old Zhu Begs Me to Marry His Daughter

A reporter asked, "As the most unruly warlord in the Great Ming, you hung Prince of Yan Zhu Di from a tree and beat him at the very start. Were you afraid at the time?"

Lu Yuan replied, "Honestly, I was pretty scared. Scared he wouldn't be tough enough to take a beating."

The reporter asked again, "Then why did the Great Ming princess later insist on marrying you?"

Lu Yuan answered helplessly, "I didn't want this either, but she offered far too much. And Old Zhu insisted on giving her to me. He said if I wouldn't marry her, he'd trade me the Great Ming empire."

In the tenth year of Hongwu, Lu Yuan brought the Myriad Realms Military Industry System and established himself in Liaodong. He kidnapped Zhu Di from the start, shocking the court and the people; then he married the princess, driving Zhu Yuanzhang mad with rage.

But before long, Old Zhu was won over.

"Good son-in-law, these high-yield potatoes really produce a thousand jin per mu?"

Watching the Great Ming imperial family come to his fief every day to mooch meals and make off with his weapons, Lu Yuan sighed. Why was everyone in the Great Ming trying to take advantage of me?
