Reborn as a Wild Rabbit: From Running for My Life to Becoming a Demon King

The first thing Cheng Wangyuan does after being reborn is learn to escape on four legs.

He has become a wild rabbit, and when he wakes up, a wildfire has trapped him at the bottom of a ditch. After escaping, he still has to compete with other rabbits for his next meal of grass.

Luckily, he can evolve in specific ways.

He strengthens his hind legs and leaps over a rocky ledge he couldn't climb before. His forepaws transform, letting him dig a narrow hiding place into a passage that leads deep into the mountain.

But every evolution requires him to eat his fill first, then endure a transformation he can't run from. To grow stronger, he must first secure food and defend a place where he can rest in peace.

Cheng Wangyuan competes for grass and fights for burrows. Following an ancient canal beyond his burrow, he discovers a spring where spirit grass grows.

The grass gets better and better, and the creatures guarding it grow more and more dangerous.

Traps block the mountain pass, demon beasts occupy the spirit spring, and even the shelter he struggled so hard to earn is about to be taken from him.

Cheng Wangyuan first digs a passage through to the other side, then braces his forepaws against the hard rock and slowly tenses his hind legs.

The burrow is his, and so is the grass.

Anyone blocking the entrance gets kicked first.
