Overnight Designated Driver: My First Passenger Had Been Dead for Three Days

Chen Ye, a night-shift designated driver, received an ordinary ride request.

The next day, he learned that the man who had sat in the back seat the night before had been dead for three days.

Even stranger, though the passenger had clearly gotten out, the app kept showing:

Passenger has not exited the vehicle.

At 2:13 a.m., another unusually colored ride request appeared.

Chen Ye rejected it.

Nothing happened.

But the next day, the woman whose request he had turned down got into his back seat through a completely normal booking.

He soon realized:

Some rides can be refused.

But if you refuse, they only go looking for someone else.

From then on, every time Chen Ye gripped the steering wheel, he might face the same question:

This time, who exactly should he take to the end of the road?
