Fleeing Famine as a Family? My Little Darling Makes a Fortune Sea Foraging

Adorable little sea-forager + Hears the sea's fragrant treasures + Whole family farming + Heartwarming family bonds + Lighthearted and satisfying + Beloved by the whole family + Seafood delicacies

Shen Yuting, the little darling of Shen Family Village, was called a "burden" from the moment she was born. At three years old, her cruel grandmother even sold her to human traffickers.

But the little girl clung to a reef and refused to let go, saying in her childish voice, "There's something fragrant inside! It can sell for lots and lots of money!"

Others forage by sight. She forages by sound.

She can hear where the conches are, where the big crabs are, and where the fat fish are hiding, all with her eyes closed, as if the sea itself is "giving off a fragrant smell."

Others pick up junk. She fills a basket with abalone.

Others dig for clams. She digs up pearls.

Others return from the sea empty-handed. She comes back with a boatload of seafood and even rescues a young nobleman in distress along the way.

Her father goes from a cold-faced hunter to a doting dad. Her mother goes from a meek housewife to a seafood shopkeeper. Her brothers go from never having enough to eat to becoming the village's little tyrants.

Shen Yuting just wants to help her family make a living from the sea, move into a big house, and eat white rice.

But later, the county magistrate calls her a lucky star, the prince says she once saved his life, and even the boy who always wears a cold expression blushes and asks her:

"Yuting, are you still looking for a husband who knows how to fish?"

Shen Yuting hugs her little fish basket tight. "I am! But you'll have to get in line first!"
