Three-year-old Lin Wanxing unexpectedly gains a special ability: when she touches the old letters left behind by her grandfather, she can cross time and speak with the young soldiers who died on the battlefield.

They were a group of boys whose average age was under twenty. They wrote letters home, but could never send them.

"Little one, can you tell me if the old locust tree in my hometown is still there?"

"I've never seen what peace looks like. Can you go see it for me?"

Little Wanxing becomes their only "messenger from a golden age." In her childish voice, she tells them: the land is safe, the nation is at peace.

She goes on behalf of the brothers who died to see the towering buildings, the traffic, the children studying, and the elderly basking in the sun.

She fulfills their last wishes one by one and tells their stories to the world.

But when she tries to pass the soldiers' words on to their families, she discovers that those families have long since passed away. Only she, a three-year-old child, remains to guard every day of this peaceful age for the fallen heroes.

"Brothers, Wanxing will live well for you and see all the splendor of this peaceful age."
