The Belongings Organizer: I Received My Own Belongings

[Urban Mystery | Death Prediction | Episodic Stories | One Female Lead]

On his first independent case, Xu Chi receives a box of his own personal effects.

A keychain he'd used for three years, a phone that had cracked that very morning, and an authorization letter bearing his own signature.

The time of death listed on the inventory is seven days away.

There is only one additional request:

"Before my mother comes to claim my things, retrieve the photo on the phone."

But his phone is safe in his hand right now.

Xu Chi begins investigating where the box of personal effects came from. Old photos, claimants, and unfinished handovers: one unremarkable object after another leads him into other people's secrets.

Someone has waited a lifetime, wanting only to return something to an old friend.

Someone else is willing to pay a fortune to make a person's past disappear forever.

But first, he has to get to the bottom of his own case.

If this request is real, why would he be the one trying to hide the photo?
