Transmigrated into a Side Branch of the Jia Clan, I See How Outrageous Its Women Are

A modern young man transmigrates into Dream of the Red Chamber as Jia Lang, a collateral descendant of the Ningguo Mansion. He opens his eyes beside a beautiful, icy woman. Before he can even recover his wits, the chief steward, Lai Da, discovers that he has contracted plum-blossom sores. Jia Lang is stripped of his job at the pawnshop and driven out of the Jia family estate. When he gets home, he catches his wife, Lai Jingui, cheating with Xue Pan. His mother-in-law, Granny Lai, turns around and forces him to write a divorce letter, threatening to report him to the authorities. Desperate, he sneaks into a secret room in the Lai household. A bronze box cuts his finger, and an ancient jade cicada absorbs his blood and enters his palm, giving him strength enough to split mountains. He punches Xue Pan, slaps his wicked relatives, and stops the chief secretary of Prince Zhongshun's mansion in the street to file a report under his own name. His enemies are jailed, but his plum-blossom sores remain untreated, and the owner of the token bearing the character Shen may already have been infected by him... Meanwhile, the spirit jade cicada within him has only just begun to grow hot.
