The Great Sage Returns to Mortal Life: Ten Lifetimes of Hardship to Become the King of Men

In the battle at the true and false Spirit Mountain, the Mandate of Heaven was quietly swapped!

Everyone knows that it was the Great Sage Equal to Heaven, Sun Wukong, who journeyed west to seek the scriptures and became a Buddha.

But no one knows that he was actually the Six-Eared Macaque, who took his place and stole his destiny!

The real Wukong had his future changed by a secret letter from Bodhi. The Tathagata erased his merits from the Journey to the West and severed his ties to Buddhism, the Dao, and the immortals.

He shed the arrogance and fury that had once shaken Heaven, returned to Mount Fangcun, and spent a thousand years cultivating the Dao, seeing through the cold truth of the Three Realms.

The Heavenly Court fought for power, Spirit Mountain chased profit, and the gods and Buddhas sat high above the clouds, treating war on earth and the suffering of the people as the natural order of Heaven, without a shred of compassion!

With a heart grown cold, he abandoned his immortal rank and the promise of eternal life, destroyed his own divine powers and immortal bones, and resolutely descended into the mortal world to undergo ten lifetimes of reincarnation.

Nine lifetimes of hardship, nine lifetimes of trials! He had been a starving refugee, a foot soldier who died in battle, and an impoverished scholar. He endured the worst that the mortal world had to offer and came to understand the countless hardships of ordinary people.

With the body of a demon sage, he will forge a golden age for humanity. With a century among mortals, he will prove the supreme Dao!

The gods and Buddhas save themselves; the Great Sage saves others. A golden age for humanity surpasses ten thousand years of immortal life among gods and Buddhas!
