A Housewife for Ten Years, Awake at Last

The officially authorized novel adaptation of Jingyue Culture's original short drama, A Housewife for Ten Years, Awake in a Day

Wang Shufen was once the youngest medical professor at Peking University. She resigned to care for her paralyzed mother-in-law and become a housewife. For more than a decade, she worked tirelessly, but her husband Sun Jianjun, her mother-in-law, and her freeloading brother-in-law's family took her efforts for granted. When her father was hospitalized after a car accident, her husband coldly refused to help, while her mother-in-law made a scene in public. With her heart finally dead to them, Wang Shufen hired a lawyer to file for divorce and claim compensation for the labor she had put into caring for her mother-in-law, then decisively left the Sun family. She returned to the medical field and reclaimed the peak of her career. Without her to manage things, the Sun family descended into conflict and chaos, until they all reaped what they had sown.
