In the Name of the People: Rules Above All, and I Have Hou Liangping in My Grip

Lu Xiu transmigrates to the disorderly Binhai New District, where he becomes a disciple of a senior and the youngest backbone member of the regional inspection team.

He knows upheaval is coming, and this tangled mess urgently needs to be set right. Just then, a difficult case breaks out. A team from out of town rushes to handle it without completing the proper procedures, ignoring the established rules.

Lu Xiu promptly leads his team to stop them. “The paperwork doesn’t meet regulations. Suspend the operation!”

The incident sends shock waves through every faction, and many senior officials take note of the young man’s uncompromising approach.

Some secretly scheme to exploit loopholes in the rules, while others lord it over the region and do as they please. Armed with solid evidence, Lu Xiu insists on following procedure, coordinating investigations across jurisdictions and dismantling the tangled web of vested interests.

Even when he has to confront dangers lurking around those close to him, he holds the line and turns events away from their grim, predetermined course.

Lu Xiu lives by one principle: everything must be done by the book, and no one is allowed to cross the line!
