Healing-Focused City Building? Streamers Across the Internet Beg for the Servers to Stay Up

Shen Du transmigrates to a parallel world and takes over a game company on the verge of bankruptcy, where he binds himself to the [Emotion Infrastructure System].

Whenever players feel shock, heartbreak, sadness, or other emotions, he earns high-tech rewards.

So, under the banner of “unlimited cheats and casual fun,” he releases his first VR game, Bridge in the Mountains.

From the start, players are thrilled: “The lower the bridge’s construction cost, the higher your ranking? Watch me exploit a bug and build a shoddy cliffside bridge for just two thousand yuan!”

But then the cutscene plays. Deep in the mountains, children left behind by their migrant-worker parents carry steaming bowls of glutinous rice to the bridge to thank the construction crew.

The bridge collapses.

A 200-jin top-tier star breaks down on the spot, crying like a child on stream. “You old bastard Shen Du! Give me back Xiaohua!”

The next day, everything changes.

Players across the internet, their eyes red, grind and spend money like crazy. They use the most outrageous cheats, all to build the highest-grade steel bridge deep in the mountains!

Having tasted success, Shen Du can’t stop. The Last Express and Starbound Drifting Routes are released one after another.

Players everywhere cheat their way through the thrill of becoming infrastructure tycoons, while the story leaves them in agony.

Then one day, a real bridge rises from the mountains, spanning a river, identical to the one in the game...

The players are completely dumbfounded. “Wait, have we been doing unpaid work for a parallel world this whole time?!”
