After My Assassination Attempt on Qin Shi Huang Failed, I Went to Work for Ying Zheng

[Historical Figures on Their Second Run + Modern Workplace + Lighthearted Comedy + No System]

Zhang Liang went to sleep and woke up in the modern world, more than two thousand years later.

It took him three months to learn to ride the subway, use a phone, and find a job. All he wanted was a steady life and a monthly salary of 6,500 yuan. Then his company was acquired, and the new boss walked into the conference room.

Ying Zheng.

The other man also remembered the iron spike at Bolangsha.

Zhang Liang quit that very day and moved to a small company. Less than an hour after he started, a new investor walked through the door. It was Ying Zheng again.

In modern society, Ying Zheng couldn't kill him, issue an imperial decree, or stop him from quitting. All he could do was give him a raise, cut down on meetings, and approve weekends off. Zhang Liang had sworn he'd never work for the First Emperor of Qin, but the offer was simply too good.

Ying Zheng wanted to keep the assassin around and put him to work. Zhang Liang regretted every day that he hadn't made the iron spike a little heavier.
