Building a Powerful Nation, Starting With a Seductive Consort

I woke up to find that I, the chief of a military industrial enterprise, had become the ancient kingdom's most infamous wicked consort. The moment my memories merged, I realized I had been reborn. In my previous life, I was executed for the very same charge of bringing ruin to the kingdom. Now, with the soul of an engineer in a body from another world, I vowed to rewrite my fate. Palace intrigue? Too inefficient. I claimed a plot of land beside the Cold Palace and started farming, built cities with cement, and grew rich on glass. When the court officials accused me of usurping the emperor's role, I silently showed them the barrel of my flintlock. The man on the throne who had once ordered my execution turned from murderous fury to fervent admiration. "My beloved consort, how about we rule this vast realm together?" I smiled and shook my head. "Your Majesty, I have no use for your old-fashioned dragon throne. What I want is to forge a whole new world with my own hands."
