A Woman Disguised as a Man: The Heir's Assassin Becomes a Farmer's Wife

A killer transmigrated into the Qing Kingdom and landed in a dirt-poor farming family.

Her grandparents favored boys over girls. After the family split up, she used her skills to open a noodle shop and develop chili sauce, working tirelessly to make money and help the whole village prosper. She even hired a renowned doctor to treat her father's injured leg. Just as life was beginning to improve, an imperial conscription order arrived.

To spare her father, whose injury had only just begun to heal, Su Shu disguised herself as a man and enlisted in his place.

With the battlefield engulfed in smoke and flames, she met Lu Jinhan, heir to the Marquis of Dingyuan. They came to know and trust each other, fighting side by side to repel the four kingdoms that sought to encircle Qing and threaten its borders.

The Crown Prince and Princess also arrived at the military camp. The princess fell in love at first sight with the "young man" Su Shu, who was both a gifted scholar and a skilled fighter, with an extraordinary bearing.

After winning the great battle, the heroine was appointed General of the North. She secretly plotted her escape, hoping to conceal her grave offense of deceiving the emperor by disguising herself as a man.

But on the way back to the capital, the Crown Prince was ambushed and killed, plunging the court into turmoil. To escape the fate of marrying the consort chosen for her, the princess appointed Su Shu as her consort, using her status as a newly appointed general to consolidate her hold on power at court.

After the princess ascended the throne as empress, Su Shu and Lu Jinhan guarded the northern frontier, and the lovers finally found their happy ending.
