After Mistaking My Senior Brother, I Became My Archrival’s Precious One

Meng Xi’s greatest talent in life was getting into trouble.

In her three months at Sushan, she set the kitchen on fire seven times, blew up the alchemy furnace five times, and even wrecked the roof of her master’s meditation room. Unable to take any more, her master sent her packing with a letter ordering her to go to the capital and seek out her senior brother Tong Luo, whom she had never met.

Before she left, her master gave her two things: a portrait of her senior brother and a jade token bearing the Sushan Sect’s insignia.

But plans never survive contact with reality. The portrait got soaked in the rain, and she mixed up the name. When Meng Xi heard someone at the city gate call out, “Lord Tong Ze!” she hurried over, beaming. “Senior Brother! I finally found you!”

Tong Ze was the heir to the Jing’an Earl’s estate and Tong Luo’s sworn rival. Cold and indifferent, he had no reason to get involved in this sort of trouble. But the silly girl was holding Tong Luo’s jade token, looking at him with trusting eyes and calling him “Senior Brother” in a bright, cheerful voice. He should have left her at the city gate. Somehow, though, he took her back to his estate.

From then on, the Jing’an Earl’s household was thrown into chaos.

That is, until Meng Xi discovered she had mistaken him for someone else. She had been wrong from the very beginning.

When Senior Brother Tong Luo returned with a beautiful woman, Meng Xi packed her things and prepared to leave. Tong Ze blocked the doorway. “The play was fake. I was never pretending.”
