In the midsummer of 1975, an unexpected conflict occurred on the southern border, causing the already undercurrent situation to suddenly spiral out of control. Lee Dong-soo accompanied the troops into the forward position, while Danny O'Kane followed the fleet to the east. Across the border and the strait, two groups of people who had never met were ordered to take up arms, each carrying unsent letters from home, faded photos, and memories from old battlefields. No one knows where the first shot will be fired, and no one knows whether they can return to their original lives when the storm passes. This is a story about soldiers, hometown and choice.
