The Deposed Empress Goes on a Rampage in the Cold Palace, and the Tyrant Begs Me to Stop

This is an absurd, hilarious tale of palace intrigue. In her previous life, Shen Wanqing was renowned throughout the land for her virtue, yet her lover carved out her heart and drank her blood, while her younger sister poisoned her infant son.

When she opened her eyes again, it was the night before she was to be given poisoned wine. She crushed the bowl of Qianji Powder, her eyes gleaming with a bloodthirsty chill.

“You want me dead? Then let’s go to hell together.”

She shoved the poison down her half-sister Shen Yunrou’s throat, watching the once-high-and-mighty Noble Consort writhe and spit blood on the floor.

She walked out of the Cold Palace over shards of porcelain, tore up the imperial edict in front of everyone, and pointed at the scoundrel emperor Gu Jingxuan. “You worthless muck think you deserve the Dragon Throne?”

In a ramshackle hut in the Cold Palace, she found a disfigured madman pretending to be a cripple. She tossed him half a stale bun. “Eat.”

Later, the man tore off his disguise, revealing the ruthless tyrant whose face made the whole realm tremble. He laid thousands of miles of empire at her feet and rasped, “Qingqing, have you killed enough? If not, I’ll hand you the knife.”

And a little dumpling of a child clung to her leg and wouldn’t let go. “Mama, Mama, that uncle is looking at you so scary! Chen’er will beat him up for you!”

Shen Wanqing: “...Beat him up? I’ll hold the reins myself!”
