Young Marquis, What Are You Running From?

The capital's top wastrel, Young Marquis Xiao, has a scandalous reputation that stinks up the whole city. He dares to flirt with Gu Qinghan, the stern-faced official of the Court of Judicial Review, spewing lewd jokes and pestering him day after day. Gu Qinghan is cold as a blade and regards him as an ignorant good-for-nothing, doing everything he can to avoid him. Until one day, Xiao Yichen takes his teasing too far. Gu Qinghan grabs him by the waist in full view of everyone and pretends to kiss him. “Isn't this what you wanted, Young Marquis?” The notorious wastrel, adored by countless onlookers, flees in terror. For the first time, Gu Qinghan begins to wonder: if he's truly a libertine, why is he afraid of this? He starts watching, starts testing him, and catches him sneaking into a secret passage and taking a poisoned arrow for him. At the brink of life and death, he sees the loneliness and restraint beneath Xiao's wastrel facade. Once the ice around his heart cracks, the whole world turns upside down. Gu Qinghan chases him to the Xiao residence and pins him against a wall, saying each word distinctly: “If you dared to flirt with me, then you have to see it through.” From then on, the hunter becomes the prey. This is a game of pursuit and escape at its most intense: you flirt, I dodge; you retreat, I chase; you run, I catch you. When a paper tiger who has been around countless beauties meets a fiery volcano with an obsessive devotion, whoever falls first loses everything.
