I Opened a Farm in the Cold Palace, and the Emperor Steals My Vegetables Every Day

I transmigrated into a palace-intrigue novel as a discarded empress who wouldn’t survive three chapters, and the System told me to build infrastructure. Looking at the weeds growing in the corner of the Cold Palace, I stayed up all night registering “Hungry Yet: Cold Palace Branch.” While the other consorts competed for favor, I turned the Imperial Kitchen into a chain of takeout restaurants. While the other consorts poisoned people, I started growing crops in greenhouses in the imperial garden. When the Noble Consort mocked me for being uncouth, I turned around and marked her chambers as a “no-delivery zone.” Later, enemy forces closed in, and the treasury couldn’t even provide the soldiers with rations. The ministers all knelt outside the Cold Palace and begged me: “Your Majesty, please lend us some food!” I glanced at the orders on my screen. “Sure. Free shipping on orders over fifty kilos. Anything heavier costs double for delivery. But...” I leisurely crossed the emperor’s name off the list. “This person is blocked.” The emperor climbed over the wall to find me that very night. “Empress, can you unblock my account? I want to sign up for an annual membership.”
