Meat at Every Meal on the Run from Famine: Manman Is a Little Lucky Star

[Famine years + lucky darling + spatial storage + pampered by all + heartwarming everyday life]

Manman is kicked out of the house by her aunt and nearly freezes to death in the snow. The Lu family’s fourth son takes pity on her and gives her a home.

She thinks the whole family will dislike her, but instead, every one of them cherishes her like a treasure.

On the first day they bring her home, a wild boar jumps right into their trap!

On the second day, a pheasant runs into the courtyard and lays eggs!

On the third day, they dig up silver beneath the big tree in the yard!

There’s also someone in Manman’s mind called “Xi Tong” who’s always asking her to trade things. Sometimes it wants foxtail grass, sometimes a fire poker, and sometimes even stones she picks up off the ground. Every time it gets what it wants, it gives Manman lots of things in return, sometimes eggs, sometimes candy. Sometimes it even gives her a yellow, hard, shiny thing. Everyone says it’s gold. Manman just treats them like useless stones and puts them in the space Xi Tong told her about.

While everyone else is fleeing famine, so hungry they’re skin and bones, her family secretly eats meat at every meal~!

The Shen family: “Who said this child was a jinx? She’s a lucky star, isn’t she?”

…

Later,

The Lu family all stare at the little one, bottom in the air, grunting as she buries something in the soil. “Manman, that golden stuff wouldn’t happen to be… gold, would it?”

Little Manman thinks it over. “I don’t know! There’s so much in my space, I don’t even have room to grow vegetables anymore!”

The Lu family: “…You threw it away just so you could grow vegetables?”
